MacArthur PALs supports H-E-B Literacy Program
In an effort to promote pre-school literacy, the NEISD Peer Assistance Leadership students (PALs) visited H-E-B stores across the city for the opportunity to read to children. The MacArthur High School PALs spent two Saturdays at their local H-E-B reading to children. The PALs at MacArthur also held a book drive Sept. 17 - 21. The PALs encouraged their classmates to donate children books. MacArthur students brought in an outstanding 3,103 books for children. The books were donated to the H-E-B on Jones Maltsberger and Thousand Oaks for the store's Read 3 program.
