MacArthur students support Habitat for Humanity
TIME: 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
LOCATION: 907 Harriman Place
For the second year in a row, students in the Electrical Systems Apprenticeship Program and the Architectural Design classes at MacArthur High School have the opportunity to help some deserving families while gaining, valuable, on the job experience. The students will install electrical wiring, stand walls and sheathing on four Habitat for Humanity homes on January 10, 2013.
"It's a great real world-learning experience because no matter what the weather throws at us, with the exception of pouring rain, we adapt and get the job done," said Steve Albert, director. "The students love it. We cook lunch, have plenty of water and hot chocolate available for the students to enjoy during their break."
