MacArthur golfer honored

MacArthur High School Varsity Golfer Elsa Diaz has been selected from a national pool of candidates to attend the inaugural First Tee Outstanding Participant Summit, March 1 - 2 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Billed as “an interactive and educational event,” the convention is designed to hone participants' skills as leaders.

"[Diaz] has earned this honor through hard work and her positive character,” said Mary Carriker, executive director of First Tee of San Antonio.

Diaz is one of 32 student golfers selected for the summit.
