lopez student wins zoology award
Rhea Kamat, an 8th grade student at Lopez Middle School, competed at the Alamo Regional Junior Academy of Science & Engineering on Saturday, Feb. 9.
She won the highest award in the zoology category for her science project. She focused on the effects of Sulforaphane on tadpole development. Sulforaphane is a chemical found in broccoli.
