Lopez Technology students conquer state contest
The Technology Student Association held their state championships in Waco, Texas, April 11-13. The competition hosted different middle schools and high schools from throughout the state in Career and Technical Education categories.
Lopez Middle School competed in 36 different categories and won best in state (1st Place) in 32 categories. Lopez MS also won 2nd place in 3 categories, 3rd place in 5 categories, and 4th place in one category. Student categories include activities such as, model of a constructed containment, fabric, robotic programming to twenty-five lines, and wood turning-machine tools.
In the middle school category Lopez won "Outstanding Overall - 1st Place".
Students came from Ms. Preiss, Mr. Lewey and Mr. Felty's technology courses.
