Panthers on the Prowl, Lopez celebrates new year

On August 23, the Lopez Middle School campus was full of excitement and activity as nearly 1,500 Panthers roamed the halls. Incoming Panthers enjoyed a morning of meeting teachers, tours of the school, textbooks and lockers as they attended Lopez’s Cub Camp.

The seventh and eighth grade Panthers joined each other for the first ever “Night Time Prowl.” Students reconnected with old friends, made new friends and enjoyed a spirited pep rally at the end of the night.

"The coveted Blue and Gold Spirit Stick was awarded to the seventh grade class for bringing the house down with their school spirit," said Kelli Skok, assistant principal. "With a school year kick-off like Prowl 2012, it's sure to be a great year! Go Lopez Panthers!"
