lopez students earn a chance at a nook

Lopez Middle School students who participated in the school's summer reading program became eligible for several prizes at the start of this school year.

Over the summer, students were encouraged to fill out a Reading Bingo form and, depending on the number of Bingos earned, were given tickets to increase their chances of winning prizes, such as two Nooks and five flash drives.

The drawing was held during the televised morning announcements with Principal Dr. Barry Lanford drawing the winning tickets. The Parent Teacher Association supported this activity by providing the prizes.
