Lopez delivers school supplies and cookies to Harmony Hills

Lopez delivers school supplies and cookies to Harmony HillsLopez Middle School’s Parent Teacher Association (PTA) delivered school supplies and cookies to Harmony Hills Elementary School on Thursday, Sept. 7. The Lopez PTA Community Relations Chair / Sister School Representative Colleen Douglas, with PTA President Paula Hilken, picked up the supplies collected by Lopez students and staff and delivered them to Harmony Hills. The Harmony Hills Family Specialist Maribel Lacey and a handful of students were on site to receive the items.

To support their Sister School, Lopez students and staff collected school supplies ranging from colored pencils to crayons to notebook paper to binders and more. All supplies will benefit the students at Harmony Hills. NEISD's Sister School program pairs schools in the district together to support each other with school events.

Two wagons filled with school supplies wheeled into Harmony Hills. Fifty dozen freshly-baked cookies, donated by local businesses, will benefit Harmony Hills’ Grandparents’ Day activities this week.
