Lopez Hosts Panther Prowl for Incoming sixth Graders

The fourth annual Panther Prowl Camp for incoming sixth-grade students and their parents will take place on August 18, 2010 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. They will visit their advisory teacher, receive textbooks, lockers and ID badges. Parents will have a chance to get an overview of what sixth grade will be like for their children. Staff will also be available to help parents with the Parent Portal, accessing the online cafeteria Web site, and assistance with transportation questions.

Advisory teacher lists will be posted on the school's front windows for incoming seventh and eighth grade students starting late afternoon on August 20 and throughout the weekend. Students going into the seventh and eighth grade will receive their schedules, lockers, textbooks, and ID badges the first few days of school during Advisory, where they will report to first thing when school starts.

All students are invited to stop by the Lopez Marketplace on August 18 to purchase spirit items, agenda books, and visit club and organization booths. The Marketplace will be open in the gym from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The seventh and eighth students will be able to access the Marketplace through the back gym door during this timeframe.
