LONGS CREEK SUMMER SCHOOL OFF TO A GREAT START

The summer program at Longs Creek Elementary began with an Open House for grades Kindergarten through fifth on June 8, 2010 from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m., and fifth-grade SSI reading and math from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Parents and students met teachers and learned about the expectations of the program.

Summer School at Longs Creek is from 8 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. Teachers are excited and eager to be working with the students. Library Services, counseling and technology classes are also being provided. The curriculum is based on reading, math and science objectives. Perfect Attendance Awards are given to students who are present daily. Any student who is  "Caught Being Good" has their name placed for a daily reward system.

"We are providing the best quality education for our students and look forward to working with the parents and community for a successful summer school program," stated Anna Nicolai, Longs Creek Summer School principal.
