NEISD Superintendent visits Lee Cluster, energizes for new year

NEISD Superintendent visits Lee Cluster, energizes for new yearNEISD Superintendent Dr. Brian G. Gottardy kicked off the new school year by reaching out to faculty and staff from across the district. In ‘pep rally’ style intermixed with cheers, drums and student voices, the NEISD Superintendent shared his vision for the new school year during Convocation.

Similar to other cluster settings, an auditorium filled with faculty and staff from Lee High School and its feeder campuses came together to hear from Gottardy on Thursday, August 23 (photos below).

Convocation is a tradition for NEISD—it is the superintendent’s opportunity to share his vision and excitement for the coming school year. The more than 4,000 teachers, as well as campus staff, from across the entire district had the opportunity to hear directly from Dr. Gottardy as he made his way to each of the seven comprehensive high schools. Each high school campus hosted faculty and staff from that school’s feeder campuses. Teachers also heard directly from students who shared what they value in school and what they believe can help improve their coming year.
