lee art club captivates community with "bright billowers"
Lee High School Art Club members were the only high school students who created and organized an art installation at San Antonio's Luminaria this year. The installation was in the historic La Villita's courtyard Mar. 9, titled "Bright Billowers."
The exhibit consisted of a series of brightly lit inflatable made by teams of art students who pushed recycled trash bags to the bounds of scale and pneumatic engineering. The students received many compliments on the creativity and craftsmanship of their work by community art professionals at the event.
The "Bright Billowers" will be on display on Tuesday, Mar. 26, and Wednesday, Mar. 27, at Night Gallery, our district secondary art show celebrating Youth Art Month. The event will be at Blossom Athletic Center from 6-8:00 p.m. For more information on Night Gallery, click here.
