Krueger enlightens minds of S.A. community

On Saturday, February 23, 2013, current and former Krueger School of Applied Technologies (KSAT) students gave back to the community. They were invited to present at the Third Annual St. Phillip’s College Green Energy and Engineering Day.

KSAT rocketry was part of the exhibits along with UTSA and Southwest Independent School District. The KSAT Student Launch Initiative team, which collaborates with NASA, explained to over 100 elementary, middle, and high school students from various districts in San Antonio, the basics of aerodynamics and rocketry skills.

The three ETA students were asked to be motivational speakers for elementary students interested in STEM activities. Speaking from “the head and the heart”, they encouraged young students to persevere with challenging math, science, technology, and engineering courses. KSAT students also participated in engineering activities in the afternoon session.
