Superintendent meets with Johnson students
NEISD Superintendent of Schools Dr. Brian G. Gottardy spent the morning of Thursday, Nov. 29 with Johnson High School juniors and seniors. Together they shared breakfast, as well as opinions of issues and concerns they see at school. Many of the students shared positive experiences they have at Johnson.
The breakfast is part of an initiative Dr. Gottardy started during the summer to increase outreach efforts with students, hearing their opinions firsthand. This started in August during Leadership and the eight Convocations across the district where students participated in a panel discussion with district faculty and staff. The initiative continues with the Superintendent Student Luncheons, as well as through special events, such as the Johnson breakfast meeting.
