JLAB is a national JROTC competition that began in October with 1,345 Leadership Teams and 1,583 Academic Teams. Primary team members from the top 40 Leadership Teams and the top 24 Academic Teams in each of the seven JROTC Brigades qualified to advance to the championships held at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA.

The JLAB is a nationally-recognized competition created exclusively for JROTC cadets. By participating, Cadets learn the values of citizenship, academic competition, and college opportunities. JLAB is sponsored by the United States Army Cadet Command, the George C. Marshall and the General Douglas MacArthur Foundations, and the College Options Foundation.
