johnson forensics team has great start

The Johnson High School Forensics team has already qualified two students for the Texas Forensic Association State Meet in the first month of competition.

Senior Jessica Kowalski is qualified in Humorous Interpretation. She performs a 10 minute cutting from the play script, Clue. Kowalski is very active in a variety of activities at Johnson and holds the Degree of Superior Distinction in the National Forensic Association. Jessica is coached by Jay Asterman.

Senior Sydney Scott is qualified in Foreign Extemporaneous Speaking and Congressional Debate. Scott researches a variety of current events and gives speeches in her competitions. Scott has attended the National Forensic League national tournament for the past three years and holds the highest degree a student can earn -- Degree of Premier Distinction. Currently, Scott is ranked 9th in the nation in the race for NFL All-American. Sydney is coached by Barbara McCain.
