Third annual Jackson Community Night
DATE:
Mar. 20
TIME: 6 - 8 p.m.
LOCATION: Jackson MS, 4538 Vance Jackson
Jackson Middle School will host its third annual Jackson Community Night on March 20, 2012 from 6 - 8 p.m. The purpose of the evening is to build community and celebrate family, as well as to promote health and fitness.
There are more than 50 exhibitors expected to distribute information to families, such as the San Antonio Food Bank, various Medicaid providers, Parks and Recreation, etc. Small local businesses have been invited to promote their business. Incoming fifth graders are also invited with their families and campus tours will be provided to all families by Jackson Peer Assistance Leadership students (PALS). There will also be fun activities for the families to participate in, such as an inflatable obstacle course, basketball shoot out, a rock wall activity, drama performances, and martial arts demonstrations.
Everything is free of charge to all exhibitors and families, including pizza and a drink. Last year's event brought in more than 800 guests. Jackson staff hope to have even more community members come out and enjoy this evening.
