Jackson begins safe school ambassador program

Jackson Middle School held a Safe School Ambassador training for students. The students learned various techniques to prevent and stop mistreatment and violence among their peers. The program provides an "inside out" approach, which harnesses the power that students have to change things from within and puts them at the center of the solution. Students are typically the first responders on the scene of mistreatment and violence, and can intervene in ways that students can't.
