Jackson-Keller celebrates Seuss in honor of Read Across America Day

Jackson Keller Elementary School students and staff members will celebrate Dr. Seuss Feb. 25 - Mar. 1 in honor of NEA's annual "Read Across America Day" on Friday, March 1. Students will celebrate the creative genius of Dr. Seuss each day by participating in the following events:

Monday: “The 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins Day” - Wear your favorite hat!
Tuesday: “Fox in Socks Day” - Wear crazy socks!
Wednesday: “Oh the Places You’ll Go Day” - Wear a shirt from somewhere you’ve visited!
Thursday: “The Cat in the Hat Day” - Wear black, white, and red to look like the Cat in the Hat!
Friday: “Green Eggs and Ham Day” - Wear green!

Dr. Seuss made great contributions to the world of children's literacy, and the wacky and clever text of the author's books will provide many great teaching opportunities for teachers throughout the week!
