JROTC advance to next levels of competition
The NEISD JROTC program has been competing in competitions throughout the fall semester, with many high school programs earning advances in the next levels of their competition.
NEISD JROTC Leadership and Academic (JLAB) Teams will be advancing to Level II competition as follows:
All seven of the Leadership teams will move forward to the Level II competition in February 2013.
Churchill, Johnson, Lee, MacArthur, Reagan and Roosevelt JROTC programs will be advancing to Level II competition in February 2013.
The Johnson JROTC Precision Air Rifle Team placed fifth in the Brigade Air Rifle Championship (8 state area) and qualified for the Army National Championships in February 2013. Duncan Pawloski from Johnson finished in the "Runner Up" position for individual shooters. He scored 675.5 out of a possible 700 points in the competition.
Jacob Larrumbide, Roosevelt JROTC Air Rifle Team, shot a perfect score of 200 in his prone position series at the Brigade Championships. Larrumbide was the only contestant to shoot a perfect score in the four series of shooting competition.
