ISA student starts non-profit, helps African families

International School of the Americas Senior Will Lynch created the non-profit US International to help address water issues in Africa. He partnered with the non profit Drop in the Bucket to provide villages in Africa water wells that the people could maintain on their own. Drop in the Bucket is a water charity that constructs wells and sanitation systems at large rural schools in sub-Saharan Africa.

Lynch was inspired to help others in this way after watching the film Invisible Children. He also made a trip to Africa this past summer and learned that people living there were afraid to drink the water due to poor conditions.

In his first month and a half of operating US International, he raised more than $5,000. To learn more about US International, visit its Web site at http://usinternational.us/.
