Harris Blue Santa collection hits record high

The Harris Middle School Student Council collected more toys this year for SAPD's Blue Santa program than ever before.   Each year the Council challenges students to help them fill a large display case with toys.

"In past years, we've had to space the toys out to fill up the case. This year we couldn't squeeze them all in," said Madison, a three-year member of the Council and its current Vice President.

The Council attributes this year's success to flyers handed-out during parent pick-up, emails to parents, and Harris teachers encouraging their students to donate through friendly competitions. Co-sponsors of the Harris Student Council are Loryn Windwehen and Sheriden DeCastro.

The Council and SAPD would like to thank all students, parents, and staff who so generously donated to this year's campaign.
