Checkmate! Harmony Hills hosts community chess tournament


DATE: Oct. 27
TIME: 8 a.m. registration, 9:15 Round 1 starts
LOCATION: Harmony Hills ES, 10727 Memory Lane

Harmony Hills Elementary School will host its annual Chess Tournament on Saturday, Oct. 27. Registration will take place from 8 - 9:15 a.m. with Round 1 starting promptly at 9:15 a.m. The tournament will include six rounds, each lasting up to 50 minutes. There are two categories of players: Elementary (consisting of two divisions Primary (grades K - 2) and Open (grades 3 - 5) ) and Middle School (grades 6 - 8).

Entrance fee is $6 for pre-registrants (no later than Oct. 20); $9 for onsite registration.

Food and drinks will be available for purchase at the school.
