VIDEO: Hardy Oak Teacher honored as outstanding teacher

Alamo Toyota and Kidsville News surprised Hardy Oak Elementary School teacher Stacey Knudson during morning announcements Wednesday, April 17.

Knudson was recognized as an outstanding educator. She was nominated for the "Driving Education to the Top" contest and was selected out of numerous entries for her dedication to her students. Her class submitted a scrap book of art, poems and letters. It was filled with reason why she deserved to win.

Kidsville News and Alamo Toyota teamed up to recognize the many hardworking teachers in our community.

Knudson received a $1,000 prize and a plaque of recognition. Her class won a trip to the Toyota manufacturing plant paid for by Alamo Toyota.

Five other NEISD teachers were recognized for their achievements and received plaques and prizes.
