Encino park collects warm coats for sister school

Encino Park Elementary students and parents collected warm coats for the students at Olmos Elementary School, their sister school. Fourth graders Ashlen Wingrove and Katie Bates along with their mothers organized the drive. The drive is part of the support the Encino Park PTA provides its sister school.

Ashlen and Katie promoted the program through the morning announcements and encouraged Encino Park students to bring new or gently used coats. Once the coats are all collected their parents will deliver them to Olmos Elementary School.

“It is a nice feeling to help people in need,” shared Ashlen and Katie.
