eisenhower makes top six in follett challenge
Eisenhower Middle School has been named one of the top six finalists in the Follett Challenge. Eisenhower applied to the Follett Challenge, a contest created by Follett Corporation to recognize and reward school libraries for their work applying technology, content and creativity in ways that engage students, foster literacy and promote critical thinking.
The six winning libraries will be awarded with the cash-equivalency of a total of $100,000 worth of products and services to implement new library services and technology.
Eisenhower’s submission is available on the Follett Challenge Web site under the “View Entries” tab at http://www.follettchallenge.com/contests/showentry/788025. Eisenhower’s video entitled “The 21st Century Learning Libratory” (Library + Laboratory) highlights this communal learning space offering emergent media and resources with the opportunity to investigate, integrate, innovate, and interact.
The ranking of winners will be announced at the American Association of School Libraries national conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota on October 27.
