East Terrell Hills hosts successful watch d.o.g.s. night

On Friday, Sept, 28, East Terrell Hills Elementary School held its second annual "Dads and Kids Pizza Night." Fathers, uncles, grandfathers, and other father figures were invited to spend some quality time with their students, get information on how to become a school "WATCH DOG" and sign up to make a difference in students' lives.

WATCH D.O.G.S.® is a K-12 program which invites fathers to volunteer at the school. The program is overseen by a “Top Dog” volunteer who partners with the school administrator to coordinate scheduling and identify opportunities for Watch D.O.G.S. to provide security and support at the school.

" We look forward to seeing our dads in our classrooms and down the halls to high five them throughout the school day," said Family Specialist Gabby Mendoza.
