Driscoll celebrates anniversary, 20 years

Driscoll Middle School held its annual Driscoll Defender Band Dinner in conjunction with the school's 20th anniversary on Wednesday, Nov. 14. To commemorate the event, the school unveiled its Memory Wall.
The Driscoll Jazz Band performed in the cafeteria during the dinner. At 6 p.m., a special presentation to commemorate the 20th anniversary took place in the main gym. Principal Debra Aceves-Torres greeted the standing room only crowd and acknowledged present and former Clara Driscoll administrators, faculty and staff during the celebration. The celebration was attended by Superintendent of Schools Dr. Brian G. Gottardy, Associate Superintendent Dan Villarreal, and three former principals: Shirley Kearns, Dr. Kaye Fenn , and Peter Martinez.
Following the presentation, the concert, symphonic, and beginners band performed for the guests.
