dellview leaders make a difference

The Dellview Elementary School Student Council and National Elementary Honor Society started the holiday season with a Thanksgiving canned food drive to benefit a neighborhood food bank located next door to the school. Students brought in canned food items, beans, pasta, baby food and juice to stock the shelves of the local food bank that supports the Dellview community.

At the end of the drive, more than 25 reusable grocery bags were overfilled with items. The student leaders walked to the food bank and helped fill the nearly empty shelves.

When asked which grade level they felt had contributed the most, a student replied, “It doesn't’t really matter. The people who need the food bank are the real winners.”

Thank you Student Council and National Honor Society for being leaders!
