data holds 2011 convocation

On Saturday, August 20, 2011, the Design and Technology Academy (DATA) will have its third annual convocation from 2-3 p.m. in the Roosevelt High School Auditorium.  

The convocation sets the academic and civic tone for the year. It is an upbeat time with a positive message for families, and the DATA students walk away with tons of DATA swag and a customized DATA planner. A school supply drive will also be held to benefit the campuses in the Roosevelt attendance area.

DATA is housed at the Roosevelt High School campus. This magnet program stresses creativity, problem-solving, teamwork and technology through projects in design fields such as mechanical engineering, Web page design, video game design, programming languages, architecture, fashion design, graphic arts, animation, and digital rendering and modeling.
