Colonial Hills welcomes visit from Japanese exchange student
Colonial Hills welcomed Narumi Doida, a Japanese exchange student, for a very unique experience at the school. Doida is currently a Junior at the International School of the Americas (ISA). She read a story in English and Japanese to Ms. Workman's first grade class. She also showed the students traditional Japanese clothing and played the Koto for the students.
One student said, "You're music is pretty!"
Doida informed the class that they were her first live American audience and was happy that everyone liked the sounds of the instrument.
"It was truly a treasure to have this opportunity here at Colonial Hills," said Ms. Allen, Colonial Hills Librarian.
