Coker is invaded by dr. Seuss' "things"
Rumor had it that Coker Elementary School was to be invaded by "Things" on Friday, Mar. 1, and they were correct. In celebration of Dr. Seuss' birthday, Coker faculty, staff and students sported "Thing" hair.
Inspired by Dr. Seuss, Coker students wanted to share the joy of reading with other children in our city. Students donated over 440 children's books. These books were presented to the San Antonio Children's Shelter during morning announcements.
Faculty and staff, dressed in Dr. Seuss garb, huddle around the 440 books being donated.
Are these kids excited about "Thing" hair on Seuss' birthday? The answer is a resounding yes!
You can't have "Things" running around the campus without "Cat in the Hat."
If you think two "Things" are hard to handle, try mor than twenty "Things!"
According to the kids, the best part about being a "Thing" is no rules! Well, not quite.
Blue hair went from uncommon to customary in just one day.
This Coker class sits in the very place you can find Dr. Seuss' great books.
With all the "Things" going wild & crazy, someone had to take care of the daily tasks.
The rules were simple, if you walk into the library, you have to get "Thinged out."
This special "Thing" directs the other "things" to the next place to start chaos.
