Churchill Winner's Circle collects money & toys for hospital
The Churchill High School Winner's Circle Advisory Board collected money and toys to donate to the children in the hospital during Christmas. The donations added up to more than $1,000 in cash and toys.
The students met at Target to shop and get toys for all age levels. They then took the toys to Methodist Children's hospital and handed them out.
"It was so exciting to see the smiles on these children's faces," said Courtney Mayer, teacher.
The students had collected so many toys they were able to deliver to three different units. They then donated the rest to the child life department to hand out as children get admitted to the hospital over the holidays.
"This toy drive has been a tradition for the Winner's Circle for many years and we look forward to continuing to support our community," said Mayer.
