NEISD debaters help feed the hungry
Churchill High School debaters along with several hundred students and coaches worked together on Sunday, June 13 to package 525,960 meals for earthquake survivors in Haiti. The effort was part of the National Forensic League's first national service project.
The National Forensic League partnered with Numana, Inc., an international hunger relief organization with the mission of empowering people to save the starving, for Sunday's national service project. The event took place the day before the week-long national championship that was held in Kansas City, Missouri. Churchill volunteers included: Max Birnbaum, Kelly Cunningham, Claire Daviss, Matt Gross, Sam Hamed, Amanda LeGrand, Adam Lipton, and Mario Villaplana.
