SA community supports Daniel's Man of the Year Campaign
Daniel Edelen of Churchill High School is campaigning for Man of the Year and the 16-year-old is receiving support from the likes of Bruce Bowen, Rick Cavender and Mayor Julian Castro.
Currently, Las Palapas (Churchill Location) is matching any donation up to $20 and if you give a minimum of $2 donation with any food purchase, you receive a free large drink.
At age seven, Daniel was diagnosed with High Risk T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and spent the next three years undergoing chemotherapy. Miraculously, Daniel is now a healthy teenager and is the first childhood survivor to be running for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Man of the Year.
Daniel even took over Q101.9 where a silent auction was held on April 16, in support of his goal to raise $432,000 towards cancer research by the deadline of May 16. Reaching that goal would break the record raised nationally for LLS.
Clear Channel Media & Entertainment renamed Q101.9 "Daniel FM," and featured (supportive clips) PSA's throughout the day from Peyton Manning, Bruce Bown, Rick Cavender, Greg Simmons, Daniel and several others.
