bush choir brings the competition
One hundred seventh- and eigth-grade choir students at Bush Middle School traveled to Dallas on May 16 to compete in the "Kidz in the Park" Festival hosted by American Classic. The school's Men's Chorus and Combined Treble Chorus both performed outstandingly.
The Men's Choir earned a Sweepstakes, Outstanding Performance and Best in Class trophies. The Combined Treble Chorus earned a Sweepstakes, Outstanding Performance, Best in Class and Best in Festival awards. Included in the Treble Chorus honors, three soloists were awarded Outstanding Solo. These talented students were Mary Dillon, Delaney Longmuir and Kaitlyn Vanderpot.
These choirs had many extra rehearsals for this event and both directors are very proud of their accomplishments.
"Where we're going, we don't need road," said Dianna Jarvis, head choir director.
