agriscience magnet toured by epa
On Jan. 28, the Agriscience Magnet Program (AMP) at Madison High School was visited by several special guests for a tour of the facility because of its efficiency and sustainability features.
AMP Director Justin Missildine welcomed Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) representatives Senior Policy Advisor for Water Ellen Gilinsky; and Director of Wetlands, Oceans and Watersheds Denise Keehner.
Joining them were members of the media and representatives from the San Antonio River Authority Steve Graham, Karen Bishop, Rob Jenkins, Aarin Teague, Steven Schauer, Rosanne Hughes, Gloria Rodriguez, and Joseph Kaul.
Features they were able to preview included the school's sustainable living green roof, water efficient landscape, retention pond and water reclamation cistern.
