NESA's Summer Young Writer's Camp & Performance

DATE: August 9
TIME: 7:00 - 8:30 pm
LOCATION: Lee HS, NESA Stage, 1400 Jackson Keller Rd.

North East School of the Arts (NESA) Creative Writers welcome young writers from all over San Antonio to their annual summer Young Writer's camp and performance. NESA writer's will mentor our young writers for a public reading on the NESA stage on Friday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This event is open to the public. Tickets are available at the door.

The reading and performance will highlight the student writing created during our summer writing conference. Students will read original poetry, selections from stories and screen plays. Young writers, ages 6 to 14, have gathered from all over the city for this event. The NESA creative writers mentor the youngest participants and perform with them for the event. Guest writer, Jim LaVilla-Havelin, will work with the students and read his poetry during the week. We are very excited about this year's program and our guests.
