Thousand Oaks apex fun run event

Apex Fun Run

Thousand Oaks students get moving at the Apex Fun Run.

Thousand Oaks Elementary School is so excited to announce that they have just completed The 2nd Annual Apex Fun Run. The event was kicked off on September 24, 2013 with a pep rally where students learned about this interactive program which promotes leadership and fitness in the classroom.

Students were then challenged to get pledges for the laps they ran on October 3, 2013. During the 2 weeks, students were “launched into space” with Max Power and learned what it takes to be a truly powerful leader with lessons on positive attitude, putting others first, working together, exercise, and responsibility. The event culminated as Principal Jenae Mai and Assistant Principal Holly Salazar lived up to their promise to “kiss a pig” if the students reached their goal.
