NEISD schools accept lighthouse status banners
Two of North East ISD’s newest Lighthouse schools – Las Lomas and Redland Oaks Elementary Schools –were given official Lighthouse status during the Leader in Me (LiM) Symposium. Stone Oak Elementary School, a 2013 Lighthouse status recipient, joined in on the fun as well. All three schools received Lighthouse status banners to hang up in their hallways.
Achieving Lighthouse status is no easy feat with only 70 schools out of the 1,600-plus Leader In Me schools in the nation. North East ISD happens to be home to six out of those 70 Lighthouse schools.
As part of the LiM Symposium, more than 825 participants toured Leader in Me campuses – including NEISD’s – to discover how the 7 habits are benefiting students in the district.
