neisd principals go to Harvard
Four North East ISD principals are among 50 Texas principals invited to attend a Leadership Institute at Harvard University this summer.
The Raise Your Hand Texas (RYHT) Harvard Leadership Program is a selective, week long professional development summer course taught by world-class faculty at one of the best graduate schools of education in the country, the Harvard Graduate School of Education, in Cambridge, MA.
These NEISD administrators are Barry Lanford of Lopez Middle School, Philip Carney of White Middle School, Belinda Gonzalez of West Avenue Elementary School, and Kristen Ray of Stone Oak Elementary School.
"I am so honored to have been chosen and have this opportunity to learn from some of the most renowned educators in the country," said Ray.
The program is dedicated to the support, development, and improvement of school principals and will expose these Texas public school leaders to the foremost national and international experts in the fields of education and leadership. By investing in the leadership of our schools, these principals’ campuses will realize the positive impact of the Harvard training in day-to-day school management, campus morale, and, most importantly, the classroom.
