Former NEISD student chases her dream in hollywood
Ask a large class of second graders how many would like to be actors, singers, athletes, or dancers when they grow up. You may be surprised with the amount of hands reaching for the sky. Being famous sounds fun when you’re a kid, but it’s a tough journey to make a successful performing arts career in Hollywood and Eliotte Nicole Henderson knows a little about that. The former Reagan High School graduate has performed the works of famous choreographers such as, Kenny Ortega (High School Musical), and has shared the stage with Pitbull and most recently, Taylor Swift.
The young star excelled in the Reagan choir and dance team and served as a dance team officer during the 2005-2006 school year. These days, it's apparent that Eliotte was not ready to stop performing after graduation. Her supporters cheered for her on May 22 during the Taylor Swift concert at the AT&T Center. Eliotte traveled with the big-time artist for her world tour as a back-up singer.
Eliotte is a triple threat (singer/dancer/actor) who has performed on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, Old Navy commercials, Late Night with Conan O’Brien on TBS and will be featured in the upcoming remake of Dirty Dancing.
