Garner presents Parenting in the 21st Century

The Garner Middle School Parental Involvement Committee will host "Parenting in the 21st Century" on Monday, Jan. 23, from 6-8 pm. Speakers will present on important parent topics of Internet Safety, Bullying, and Drug & Alcohol Awareness. There will be dessert for everyone and door prizes from community donors including movies passes, free dinners, and Garner and MacArthur High School goodies! East Terrell Hills presents anti-bullying campaign
East Terrell Hills Elementary presented an anti-bullying program called Safe School Ambassadors (SSA) to its students and staff. The program took place over two days in January to train students, teachers and parents the process of keeping school a safe environment. SSA is a program that trains diverse and socially influential student leaders to intervene with their friends and classmates when they see teasing, bullying and other acts of cruelty.
Jackson Keller celebrates Bully Prevention Week
Jackson-Keller Elementary students and staff participated in a school-wide effort to promote a bully-free campus the week of Jan. 9-13. A guest speaker from Bexar County Mediation attended the event. Prizes were awarded each day by the counselors. Students and staff showed their support by sporting fun attire each day that centered around themes such as "Take a Stand, Lend a Hand."
