Johnson student earns 'player of the year' title
Johnson High School volleyball player Carnae Dillard has been named the Texas Sports Writers Association's Class 5A Player of the Year.
Dillard, an outside hitter for Johnson, recorded more than 41 aces, 728 kills, hitting percent of .300, passing percent of 2.16, 84 blocks, and 665 digs for the 2011 season. She also helped lead the team to their first state tournament appearance.
