Madison FFA students welcome student teacher from OSU

Tyler Price

Tyler Price will be assisting AMP teacher, Melvin Pouncy, at Madison.

The Madison High School FFA (Future Famers of America) chapter and agricultural education program recently welcomed student teacher Tyler Price, an agricultural education senior from Oklahoma State University.

The student teaching program will allow Price to bridge the gap between teaching theory and practice. During his 12-week student teaching experience, Price will teach classes, be involved with FFA activities, and assist with supervised agricultural education experiences under the guidance of cooperating teacher Melvin Pouncy.

“My time with the James Madison FFA will allow me to experience an FFA and agricultural education program completely opposite of what I grew up in.” Price said. “I am excited to begin this journey and see what Texas and San Antonio have in store for me.”

Upon completion of the student teaching experience, Price will return to Oklahoma State University in Stillwater where he will earn a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture with a major in agricultural education.
