MacArthur forensics wins at qualifying tournament
The MacArthur Forensics Team competed at the Saint Mary's Hall TFA qualifying tournament last weekend and earned many honors. They now have three more qualifications for the TFA State tournament in March and many first place awards, including sweepstakes. Awards were as follows:

Matthew DeWaal - 1st place - student congress (8 state points) *Qualified
Meagan Stevenson - 1st place - Dramatic Interpretation (8 state points)
Samantha Haynes and Meagan Stevenson - 1st place Duet Acting (8 state points)
Meagan Stevenson - 1st place - Poetry Interpretation
Meagan Stevenson - 2nd place - Prose Interpretation
Estefania Lamas and Eduardo Zerbe - semi finalists policy debate (4 state points) *Qualified
Hannah Beck - 3rd place Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking (4 state points)
Mackenzie Walsh - 3rd place Original Oratory (3 state points)
Hannah Beck - 4th place student congress (3 state points)
Mackenzie Walsh - 4th place Poetry Interpretation
Rohit Chandan - 5th place Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking (2 state points)
Ruben Espaillat - 5th place student congress (2 state point)
Mackenzie Walsh - 6th place Prose Interpretation
Samantha Haynes - 6th place Dramatic Interpretation (1 point)
