Sonatas and Empanadas: ISA Students Raise Money for Humanitarian Effort
TIME: 4:30 - 9:00 pm
LOCATION: Beto's Comida Latina, 8142 Broadway St
The International School of the Americas’ Model United Nations San Antonio (MUNSA) program will be hosting a fundraiser at Beto’s Comida Latina on September 16, from 4:30-9:00 p.m. Beto’s is located at 8142 Broadway St., San Antonio, TX 78209.
Proceeds from the event will support the International Justice Mission (IJM), a human rights agency working to eradicate slavery, sexual exploitation, and other forms of violent oppression. Each year MUNSA partners with a NGO whose humanitarian efforts correlate with the theme of the conference. Hosted at Trinity University from January 8-10, 2014, this year’s conference, entitled MUNSA XVIII: Odyssey, focuses on the international theme of human migration.
The goal for this year’s conference is to raise $4,500 for IJM.
MUNSA is the largest high school run Model United Nations conference held in the western United States, with participants from the San Antonio area, the state of Texas, the United States of America, and Mexico.
