ISA Student publication Receives national recognition
Zak is working to help students learn and understand world history.
Zak Zeibell, senior at ISA (International School of the Americas), published his graphic guide, "World History: The Comic." His publication is already receiving acknowledgement for impressive aesthetics and quality content.
A section of his book has been nominated for the Scholastic Art & Writing Gold Key and American Visions awards. Zak plans to continue publishing his writing and art as he completes high school and transitions into his post-secondary career.
With the goal of promoting global education, Zak manages a website (http://www.historycomic.com); works closely with Apps for Aptitude, a student-run nonprofit that works to create digital tools to increase scholarship; and has secured an on-demand publication agreement with Amazon.
By making his work accessible in multiple formats, Zak is able to offer his product as a tool for students to understand the world's history and prepare for standardized tests such as the AP exam and SAT.
