ISA's Cosmo Albrecht makes "The it List"
Cosmo Albrecht, a 17-year-old senior at the International School of the Americas on the campus of Lee High School, has been named to San Antonio Magazine’s “It List”, as one of the 50 people in San Antonio “building buzz and leading the Alamo City”. He joins the likes of David Robinson, Mayor Julian Castro, and Rackspace co-founder Graham Weston. The magazine states that Cosmo is “indelibly leaving his mark on this town” as a debate champ.
Cosmo competes for Lee’s speech and debate team under the guidance of Coach Nichole Connor, and placed third in the nation last summer at the National Forensic League’s national championships. So far this school year he has won first place at local tournaments in Foreign Extemporaneous Speaking, U.S. Extemporaneous Speaking, and Student Congress. With his knowledge of current events and his ability to articulate issues, he is considering a career in international or domestic affairs as a policy advisor and political analyst.
