Fox Run students take part in Share Your Heart Campaign
The Fox Run student council and sponsors have shown that Fox Run students and teachers have big hearts.
Fox Run Elementary School students once again participated in the Friends of Ronald McDonald Share Your Heart Campaign. Student Council representatives and sponsors sold paper hearts before school for one week.
Students purchased the hearts, decorated and returned them to be displayed. The money raised will go to three local Ronald McDonald Houses. Student council has been participating in this campaign for several years, with this year being the most successful.
All hearts were sold and more than $100 was raised. Sponsors for this group are Kaye Rutland, Melissa Taylor, and Ashley Harrelson. Cindi Jacob, principal at the campus, stated that she is so proud of student council for their dedication to this great cause and to the amazing students at Fox Run.
"Each and every day we talk about being leaders," said Cindi Jacob. "This is one of the ways our students share their hearts!"
